Either you slide into the water or you walk in from the beach

Another interesting detail is that the coffee machine here has chocolate espresso. I never saw that before and it tastes quite good!

The advice from car drivers to cyclists is not to be taken at face value. When they say the road is flat, they mean they only remember one mountain. They have no idea about false flats and the many tough imperceptible climbs that one meets on two wheels.

    Friend turtle passing by

There is a very good book on all the antique marbles and treasures, statues and friezes that have been taken out of Turkey (Anatolia) by Europeans (English, Austrian, French, German, Dutch) and Americans by Yaşar Yilmaz. How rich and wonderful would it be if these hoarded treasures were still in their original place? One could then experience much more of the high quality of ancient civilizations, Lycian, Lydian, Aechemenid, Hellene, Luwian, Hittite, Roman. It would be a more historical world one could perceive, instead of a stolen past.
